Way to make a strawman out of what I’m saying. LOL, really? You think running to town, respeccing to kill a specific mob or boss, then running back out to fight, then running back when your done to respec again, is going to ruin the game because it doesn’t give a player the chance for people to have to allow their merc to kill for them? This does have smoothness and/or speed advantages for some, but I still prefer to use as few respecs as possible.Īs a Barb main thought that has often done mostly SSF journey, being able to respec b/c you committed to mastery in order to have decent damage/AR, but then end up finding a better end game item later, is one situation where I have and would use respecs. These days a lot of the leveling guides recommend leveling in some builds that destroy normal, but run out of steam after, then respec into a more end game build later. I played a lot of my D2 career before they existed, so I definitely get your take. On ladder I don’t even bother picking up essences… ![]() What is even the point of respec…if you’re a noob that has never understood d2r or looked at a guide to understand how to properly build an end game char, no matter how many respecs they get it won’t help them…on the other side, all veteran players probably don’t ever need to use respecs hence why tokens are virtually FREE amongst all regulars…if you’re on NL I have dozens to give away.
